A: All candidates engaged via the program are subject to an initial 3-month probationary period.

A: Global Careers Africa talent are provided with high-standard working conditions, including A-Grade office space with excellent amenities, biometric access, and transportation options.

A: The working hours for all candidates are aligned to the time-zone of the host client or at the direction of the host client.

A: Timesheets are monitored by biometric entry/exit to buildings and IT system. A host client is not required to approve them unless specifically requested.

A: We use shared calendars with time zone visibility to make scheduling easier. We also recommend rotating meeting times to ensure fairness across regions. Meetings are scheduled at least a week in advance to give everyone time to prepare.

A: Overtime will apply when the candidate is asked to work outside their ordinary span of hours. It is charged at the following rates:
1.5x hourly rate; and/or
2x on a Sunday
All Overtime requires host client approval before the talent is asked to work outside their ordinary hours.

A: Yes - there is a nightshift allowance that must be paid to all employees working between 6pm – 6am SAST/EAT.
This has been factored into the payroll cost to the client (and built into the rate quoted) so no additional payments will be required from the client.

A: All of our talent observe public holidays in the country in which they are located.
However, a swap scheme is available by mutual agreement between all parties which requires the candidate to work on local public holidays and observe Australian or New Zealand public holidays instead. Expectations are communicated clearly and well in advance.
If a host client wishes for their candidate to enter into the public holiday swap scheme, they should advise Global Careers Africa during the onboarding process.

A: All our talent work from collaborative workspaces, fully equipped with super reliable, high-speed internet and 24-hour operations to align with employer time zones. An IT helpdesk is available 24/7 for troubleshooting and technical support so they stay connected and productive.

A: Data security is a top priority. Global Careers Africa and its partners are SOC1 & 2 accredited, ensuring strong information security. All IT infrastructure requires biometric access for additional security. Global Careers Africa enforces strict compliance with international data protection standards. Our talent are trained in the secure handling of client information, and all communication channels meet the highest of industry-level security protocols.

A: All desktop computers, telephony and headsets are provided by Global Careers Africa.

A: As part of candidate onboarding, Global Careers Africa’s IT team will engage directly with the client to facilitate appropriate host client system access and profiling.

A: For communication, we use Microsoft Teams and Slack. Workflow management is supported through Trello, Asana, and Monday.com, while productivity is enhanced with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. For collaboration, teams use SharePoint, Notion, and Miro.

A: Global Careers Africa supports performance, tracks KPI’s and resolves HR matters – but the host client remains in full control of daily outputs and deliverables.
KPIs, work standards and outcomes are set between the host client, Global Careers Africa and the talent on commencement of work. These are then routinely reviewed against the talent’s performance each month.
If performance of the candidate is not meeting the KPIs set at the outset, they are placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). The PIP process is outlined below:
Initial PIP counselling (2 weeks duration)
Final PIP Counselling with HR (2 weeks duration)
Evaluation form (1 week duration)
Notice to attend incapacity enquiry
Exit / termination of employment and engagement with host client

A: Every Global Careers Africa candidate receives ongoing support from a dedicated Growth & Empowerment expert and access to structured development plans aligned to your business needs. This includes:

A: All payments will be made in AUD / NZD to Global Careers Africa.

A: All payments and transfers will be made in the local currency of the RCSA member
(AUD / NZD). Therefore, there is no foreign exposure risk for RCSA members or their clients

A: Global Careers Africa offers structured post-placement support and replacement guarantees where required. You’re not left to manage it alone — there is a clear escalation process to resolve issues quickly.
Termination procedures vary based on whether the talent is within the initial 3-month probationary period or outside of it.
Within Probation:
Termination is possible with 1 week's notice without cause.
Outside Probation:
Notice periods apply
1 week for <6 months tenure
2 weeks for 6-12 months
4 weeks for >12 months)
Severance penalties may apply in the case of redundancy.

A: There are no commercial penalties for ending an assignment. However, if a position has to be made redundant, there is one month of salary plus on-costs, in addition to one week of salary for each year of service.
